Pricing a Scottsdale apartment or condo move
An apartment move plays by a slightly different rulebook than a house, and around Scottsdale the units we price split into two types whose numbers barely resemble each other.
Two jobs sharing a name
The gated-community unit sits inside a guard-gated complex off Hayden or Scottsdale Road, where a gate code and a visitor list have to clear before the truck even reaches the parking lot.
The Old Town mid-rise unit sits two or more floors up with a service elevator, and cost rides on the elevator booking and the walk from the loading zone rather than the gate.

Why ground-floor doesn’t always win
A ground-floor unit should beat a mid-rise since nobody’s hauling a couch up a service elevator, but a few property rules can eat the savings. Some Scottsdale complexes and gated communities ask for:
- A reserved loading window. Certain properties only grant a two-hour loading window at the entrance, and once that window shuts, the crew either sits and waits or has to come back on a later day.
- A named gate or loading point. A specific gate code or a numbered spot is often the only place furniture is allowed to stage, so we confirm it before the date rather than circling the lot.
- A visitor certificate of insurance. A handful of managed communities want one on file; Priya sends it over so the gatehouse never turns the crew around.
No surprise fees on the flat rate
The flat rate is the whole number for a move anywhere in the Phoenix Valley. There’s no separate elevator fee for the mid-rise and no fuel or mileage surcharge tacked on at the curb.
