How long-distance pricing shakes out from Scottsdale

Two ways this quote can go
The straight way: a mover walks your rooms, sizes the load, and locks one price for the whole Scottsdale-to-destination trip. The sideways way looks like this: a low number over the phone, followed by extra charges once the truck is already loaded and you have no bargaining room left, a fuel add-on here, a long-carry charge there, weight that was never mentioned before.
Three things set your total
- The mileage. A short run south to Tucson, the climb to Flagstaff, or the two-day pull to Denver — the farther the haul, the larger the share of your total that lives in the drive itself.
