Send it and it lands directly with our Scottsdale scheduling desk, where we build your written number and get it back to you the same business day more often than not. Getting a number costs nothing and commits you to nothing — hang onto it as long as you need before deciding either way. Derek or someone on his direct staff builds every quote by hand, and it doesn't get forwarded outside our own office.

Old Town Scottsdale Movers

South of the resorts, Old Town Scottsdale splits into two very different jobs: a mid-century ranch home on a normal street, and an older adobe on a narrow alley where a full-size truck simply won’t fit. Derek Foss has been telling the two apart since he opened the doors in 2011.

“Ask which street you’re on before you quote an Old Town job. A ranch home on a regular block is routine. An adobe on one of the narrow alleys means a smaller truck and a longer carry.” — Anthony Reyes, lead crew chief

Two very different blocks

Mid-century ranch homes on ordinary streets and older adobes packed onto narrow alleys cover most of what we see here. Cody Winter sorts out which one he’s looking at before Priya Nair puts a number on paper.

  • CountyMaricopa County, the historic core south of the resort corridor
  • Distance from the yardAbout 11 miles south of Raintree Drive
  • ZIP85251
  • Property mixOlder adobe and mid-century ranch homes, narrow alleys, tight on-street parking

Why the alley matters here

A ranch-home job is a routine carry with normal street parking. An adobe job on one of Old Town’s narrower alleys sometimes needs a smaller truck and a hand carry the rest of the way.

Address type How it plays out
Mid-century ranch home Standard street, normal driveway or curb parking, routine carry
Adobe on a narrow alley Smaller truck staged at the nearest cross street, boxes hand-carried down the alley
On-street parking block Parking arranged with the city or the neighbor ahead of the date

One crew, either address

Same trucks, same people, same company from the first phone call to the last box, nothing about your Old Town Scottsdale move gets passed along to someone else.

  • Both ranch homes and narrow-alley adobes handled by the same crew
  • Alley width and on-street parking checked before the date is confirmed
  • A short trip back to the Raintree Drive yard once the truck is loaded
  • Arizona-registered, insured, and staffed entirely with our own people
Derek's Word on It

Our Scottsdale Moving Guarantees

The Estimate Is the Invoice

The flat rate Derek writes down is the number you pay — no clock running once the truck rolls through the gate.

Arizona-Registered & Insured

Full cargo coverage on every load, and a certificate of insurance sent to any HOA or property manager who asks for one.

Our Own W-2 Crews

Scottsdale-based employees on our payroll — never day labor, never a stranger off a load board.

No Hidden Surcharges

No add-on for an HOA gate code, a McDowell Mountains driveway grade, or a narrow Old Town alley. The number we quote doesn't move once the truck backs in.

Company-Owned Trucks

Our own trucks out of our Raintree Drive yard — what gets taped shut at your door is what our crew carries in, never handed off to another outfit.

Right On Schedule

The window you're given is the window we hit. If a prior job runs past its clock, we'll call ahead so you're not left guessing, and we'll make it right.

Common Questions

We're on one of the narrow alleys behind an adobe home. Will a full-size truck even fit?+
Not always, and that's fine. Cody Winter checks alley width before your date is confirmed, and on the tightest blocks we stage a smaller truck at the nearest cross street and hand-carry the rest.
Parking is tight on our block. What's the plan for that?+
We arrange on-street parking or a loading zone with the city or a neighbor ahead of your date, rather than improvising it the morning of.
Our place is a regular mid-century ranch home, nothing unusual. Is our move still handled carefully?+
Same crew, same process. A ranch-home job on a normal Old Town street is a routine carry, and it gets the same padding and care as any other move.
Any risk of our move getting reassigned to some other outfit?+
No. We're Arizona-registered and insured, own the trucks ourselves, and pay every mover on the crew directly.
